Brian Lucas is a journalist, author, and storyteller. He has spent his career finding stories and elevating authentic voices to connect with audiences.

After starting his career as a reporter for Minnesota Public Radio, Brian transitioned to television news. He went on to build a communications career in Minneapolis, serving in leadership roles at Best Buy, Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota, and the University of Minnesota. For the past eight years, Brian has led True Voice Communications, partnering with businesses and nonprofits to strengthen their storytelling.

Brian is the author of Here Comes the Sun: A Young Family's Journey Through Cancer, the winner of the 2014 Midwest Book Award for best memoir. He is a writer and board member for the Hill & Lake Press and a volunteer advocate for Blood Cancer United. He hosted and produced the podcast, Voices of COVID-19.
